Arts for Children of Nevada is excited to announce that they are bringing mosaic artist Colleen Conlin of Crooked Tree Ceramics in Tucson, Arizona to the area to begin a series of workshops with the children at the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada that will include the installation of a large mosaic mural themed "A Place to Become". Pieces included in the mosaic will be created by the children at the Boys and Girls Club. This program will provide the children with an opportunity to explore mosaic art working with clay and glaze. They will explore the process from start to finish with the first workshop beginning on February 15th, the second workshop on March 15th and the installation to be completed the first week of April.

We are happy to announce that Ukuleles have been ordered and we are just waiting delivery so that we can begin several youth ukulele groups in the Carson Valley area. Children will have the opportunity to learn, play and sing in a group setting. As they progress with their musical talents we look forward to hearing them play for the community to support our mission of giving back to the community. "When we give we get, when we get we give".
